Make foiling easier for yourself

On many occasions it is not just the foil that determines if a good print can be achieved. A makeready should be used on the base of the machine. The type of is usually determined by the size of print. Our most popular makeready materials are as follows:
Pertinax - this is a hard makeready that will withstand a large number of impressions. Helps prevent showthrough on the reverse of the board. Excellent for achieving fine to medium detail
Sustamid - a clear makeready used for medium to solid areas. Due to it being clear it is easier to pack out under the makeready to achieve even pressure.
Rubbercloth - a soft makeready which should be used when a large solid area is needed. Allows you to apply more pressure and helps prevent gassing.
There are many other makeready materials available. Contact our sales team for our complete data sheet and samples.
